This unit was definitely a struggle for me. All those urban models blurred together after a whileβConcentric Zone, Sector, Galacticβ¦ I swear I dreamed in city layouts. π΅βπ«
That said, I believe in you. Youβve got this.
(Also, plot twist: none of the models even showed up on my AP exam. But donβt skip them, they could show up, itβs better to be prepared.)
After digging through every AP Human Geo FRQ from 2001 to 2025, I started noticing patterns, what shows up again and again, whatβs rarely asked, and which units are actually worth prioritizing when it comes to FRQs.

Look, I get it β you want the 5.
But hereβs the truth: you donβt need to memorize every single detail in the textbook to get there.Β
This is your shortcut to smarter studying. No fluff. No filler. Just what you really need to know to feel ready for the FRQ.
π Note: Thereβs no section for Unit 1, because itβs super rare (basically unheard of) for an FRQ to focus on Unit 1 by itself. Still, itβs good background for everything else.
